True power flows from alignment with purpose and the fire of our spirit. Daring to truly live and lead from this place takes courage and support. The Vanguard is a space dedicated to each leader being seen in the power of their spirit and called forth into the fullest expression of it in their leadership. We take this stand for each other in a way that amplifies each leader’s power to express through their living, loving, and leading in the world.

Standing for our purpose in the world is vulnerable. It means exposure. It means being under the microscope of others, from our community to those we lead and work with. There are challenges leaders face that only other leaders who have experienced the same can understand. The Vanguard provides a space for that knowing witnessing of each other, in the vulnerability and courage of each leader’s stand and service.

As leaders progress on their path often there are less and less people around to give them feedback. And yet, they need it. Welcoming feedback is a critical competency for soul-driven leaders, and there is a unique type of feedback that can come from leaders who are not part of one’s field and who know the challenges other leaders face. Showing up to give and receive such feedback, lovingly and clearly, is one way leaders can deeply serve and empower each other. The Vanguard creates intentional spaces for this work.

Support in navigating challenges

Team issues. Cash flow issues. Purpose issues. Bureaucratic issues. Challenges are inevitable, and leaders often feel like they are shouldering them alone. This is what maintains the figure of the lonely leader. Successful leadership involves continual problem solving, and in this leaders need support. The Vanguard provides space where leaders can share the challenges coming up for them among others who know the territory and where there is a culture of showing up for each other in such times.

Welcoming Purpose Cycles

Just because a leader has clarified their sense of purpose enough to take a stand for it in the world doesn’t mean that purpose is now static and unchanging. There are phases of purpose expression, and one of the major challenges of established leaders is how to navigate when a phase seems to be ending and a new one beginning. Do the structures built in the previous stage need to die? Can they be passed on to new leaders? What is the role of the current leader who now feels a call to move on? What is that new territory into which the leader feels called and what does it ask of them? All of these are questions that come with such times, and the Vanguard is dedicated to supporting each leader to welcome and skilfully navigate cycles of purpose.

Soul-driven leaders are here to serve. This is the primary drive of their leadership. To offer what wants to come through them to the world so fully that when their time is complete they know they have given everything. This takes incredible will, dedication, self-inquiry, real love, and endurance. Such purity of motive is rare and requires support, witnessing, care, and feedback. The Vanguard is dedicated to supporting each leader to give their most empowered service to humanity and the Earth, and providing a culture that can strengthen their resolve and capacity to do so.

integrating purpose and prosperity

Integrating purpose and prosperity, or the flow of money through a leader’s life and service is critical to its sustainability and growth. We want more soul-driven leaders who have generated both spiritual depth and material wealth, wielded with integrity and love, in service of the whole. This is part of the culture of the Vanguard. There is no need for Vanguard members to be wealthy, and yet this space is dedicated to supporting each leader to be able to generate the resources that maximally support them to service and fulfil their mission most effectively.
